Brier kept its tree cover, and heavy canopy over slow-draining till is exactly the drainage-plus-shade pairing WSU names as the cause of moss - not something a spray fixes. Shaded lawns also dry slowly, so Brier tends to start later than its neighbours and wants the cut at the top of the 2 to 3 inch range so the grass can compete.
Whatever the ground is doing, the cut is the same: 2 to 3 inches, and never more than a third of the blade at once. That is WSU guidance, not a house rule, and it is why I would rather move your day than cut a soaked lawn short.

Bed weeding, hedge and shrub trimming, leaf cleanup and general landscaping are not part of a standard mow. Ask about them separately and I will tell you if I can do it.
