Core aeration · Snohomish County
Most lawns:
$120–$180 tax included
Hollow-tine cores pulled out of the soil, not spikes pushed into it. Get your price by text in about 5 minutes.
I text — I don’t call, and I measure from satellite — no estimator comes out.
The machine pulls plugs of soil out of the lawn and drops them on the surface. That opens the root zone, so water, air and fertilizer get down to the roots instead of running off ground that has been packed hard by mowing, foot traffic and whatever the builder drove over it.
Aeration reaches
the top few inches
— the root zone, which is where compaction from traffic and construction actually sits. It does not reach the dense glacial layer 20 to 40 inches down, and nothing a lawn service does will.
$120 up to 2,000 sq ft, then $15 for each additional 1,000. Tax included, out the door. Find your lawn size, read your price.

Lynnwood is in Snohomish County.

Lynnwood is flat till plateau, and flat till plateau is the most predictable lawn problem in this region: Alderwood glacial till with a weakly cemented hardpan around 35 inches, water perching on top of it every wet season, and no slope to carry it away. Lynnwood was also built out fast and densely, so a large share of that ground was graded before the turf went down.
Core aeration works the top few inches — the root zone, where compaction from construction and foot traffic actually sits. It does not reach the dense glacial layer 20 to 40 inches down, and nothing a lawn service does will.

Yes. Lynnwood sits in Snohomish County, and it is on my aeration routes. I also work Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, Mill Creek and Mukilteo. Send the address and I will tell you straight rather than guess.
Early September through mid-November is the main window here, while the soil is still warm and the rain has softened it. Spring works too. I do not aerate frozen or waterlogged ground.
No. Send the address and I measure it from satellite — that is what the price is based on.
No, and you do not want me to. The cores break down on their own within a couple of weeks and return that soil to the lawn. Raking them off removes it.
That is the one upsell worth hearing. The holes are open for a few days, so seed and starter fertilizer applied the same visit get down into the root zone instead of sitting on top. If you want all three in one visit, that is the fall renovation package. If you just want the lawn opened up, aeration on its own is fine.
It is priced by lawn size: $120 up to 2,000 sq ft, then $15 for each additional 1,000 sq ft, up to $180 for a 6,000 sq ft lawn. Every price includes Washington sales tax.
Yes. Every price here includes Washington sales tax. No trip charge, no fuel surcharge, no add-on for the basics.
No. This is a one-time job. No contract, no auto-renew, no cancellation fee.
Saturated ground compacts underfoot, so I do not work a soaked lawn. If your day is too wet I text you and move it, usually within the same week.
